Travel Guide:?A fast Getaway to Apo Island
My mother spent my youth in Dauin, Negros Oriental even though we were treated to had the experience more often than not since a child, we never reached look at the nearby Apo Island which looked like a few meters of swim from their shore.
We could have visited kauai earlier but my cousins were not too keen concerning this we i can say that why. But I are certain to get here we are at that later.
I honestly felt very excited plus nervous about the trip. After 26 years of existence, I\’d been finally crossing that short distance to get to that mystical (in my opinion) island. My mom declared she lost her teenage brother while he attended by himself to go to a fiesta.
No wonder such bad circumstance happened. The seas there\’s rough and it was impossible not to ever get wet. For anyone who is scared, you possibly can go earlier, maybe around 6 or 7 am, so its possible to tread calmer seas.
The aspect of Apo Island is it was beautiful…and not. The waves felt angry and, for somebody would you not realize how to swim (and the boat would not allow us to borrow the life span vests), it was not the friendliest welcome in any respect. But thankfully, we have been capable of getting out of your boat and plant our feet safely on land and one piece.
We registered ourselves as visitors and therefore was where our unpleasant experience started.
You see we\’ve been budget travelers. And, approximately we may enjoy to help boost local economy, all of us dislike to get treated as tourists with endless supplies of income.
They asked us for P100 registration fee each. Locals from Negros Oriental could get in only P10 each provided they could actually present a sound ID. Obviously, that is already a big difference.
Later on, the guides there asked us once we wanted lifevests, goggles as well as aqua shoes to lease for P100 each. We were holding all requirements to go to swim with the famed turtles, this was making rounds in the Internet for being the very best photobomber. It seemed like everywhere we turned, they tell us to have some cash out.
So, we just wound up experiencing the huge waves, lounging through the beach and picking a gazillion photos to have home around. Thankfully, the great thing about Apo Island was enough to make us forget our bad experience…for a short time.
As beautiful as Apo Island may be, we had arrived cannot appreciate it nearly we\’d have liked. We were inexepensively, yes, but we\’d not need minded spending and a hundreds as long as they had just presented becoming a package.
The boat drivers failed to even let\’s get off the boat if you don\’t take off our life vests — there was to lease it, but shouldn\’t it is already a part of the package for paying the boat to take us there?
Sorry, that was not intended to discourage one to visit Apo Island. In fact, we highly encourage someone to check out the beautiful place along with the awesome turtles, too!
